Facing a challenging time during her divorce, she obtained her cosmetology license and successfully opened her own salon, later evolving into a personal men's stylist, where she specialized in designing custom-tailored suits and planning entire wardrobes.
A self-described "huge nerd," she sought intellectual fulfillment and found her true calling in the insurance industry. With a deep passion for helping her clients, particularly those navigating Medicare, she has become a trusted advisor, driven by her own experiences with her grandparents who raised her.
After seven successful years as District Sales Director at a prominent FMO, she realized her dream of opening her own insurance agency, where she now works alongside her daughter, creating a thriving family business.
In addition to her work in insurance, she channels her creative energy into her design business, Koncepts by KJ, where she decorates homes and Airbnb’s and has flipped several houses. Despite a life filled with personal and professional challenges—including supporting her daughters through school and family growth and her father who has Alzheimer’s—she continues to thrive, bringing warmth, expertise, and passion to every endeavor she undertakes.
